It is one of the most beautiful lakes in Pakistan and also one of our country’s most important sources of water for irrigation purposes. The lake has its source from glaciers and springs, which feed it directly. The water level varies depending on rainfall but tends to be higher than other lakes in Chitral because it receives more snowfall during winter months (November-February).
